Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
By using Shush ("the app") you agree to these terms.
The app
Shush is an experimental app that tries to recognise voices and play sound over them. Recognition is not perfect: it can be late, miss someone or mute the wrong person. Don't rely on it where you need to hear people, for example while driving, at work, or for safety announcements and alarms.
Your responsibilities
- Only record people who agree to it, and follow the recording laws where you are.
- Keep the volume at a safe level.
- Don't use the app to harass or exclude anyone.
Beta software
TestFlight builds may contain bugs and may stop working. They are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Matt Gordon is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app.
Apple
These terms are between you and Matt Gordon, not Apple. Apple's Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies to App Store and TestFlight downloads.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.
